Seems to be working well so far. Fairly easy to cut to size, but requires a little patience to not damage it while putting it in place in the microwave.

My Whirlpool Max started to arc at the (now discovered) fat soaked mica plate. Thought I'd try this before looking for another compact microwave (not many about). Found this site, cut the mica they sent to size and refitted after good clean of wave shaper vents (dead techncal me). Basically saved myself more than £100 and everything working ready for Christmas. Thrilled isn't the word. Husband thinks I'm some sort of magican :).
