Information about magnetrons.

There are two different widths of air vent on the magnetrons we supply: 80mm and 95mm, please ensure you select the correct type.

There are various types of magnetron which have the air vents, mounting bolts, and high voltage connectors aligned in different ways. Please ensure that you select the correct type before ordering.

The magnetron is supplied with a golden coloured mesh gasket around the antenna, please ensure this is in place when fitting, as this prevents leakage of microwaves from the magnetron mounting.

If you fit a 1000 watt magnetron in a microwave which is rated at 800 watts cooking power (output) it will still only put out 800 watts of microwave energy, but the magnetron may last slightly longer.

If you wear a watch, please remove it before handling the magnetron as they contain powerful magnets which can ruin your watch.

All magnetrons available from us are only suitable for microwave ovens.
