How to find the model number of your microwave oven

If you ever need to buy spare parts or accessories for your microwave oven you will need to know the model number of the oven.

The manufacturers usually place a label on the oven containing the make, model and serial number of the oven. Quite often, that label is stuck on the rear of the oven. Alternatively it may be placed somewhere on the doorway or down the inside of the control panel.

The make and model are the important details but on German ovens such as Bosch, Neff, Siemens and AEG also have a number on that label beginning with E. This is used by those manufacturers (and subsequently us) to source the correct part from a production run or batch of ovens. If you have German oven we will need this E number also.

Below are some examples of these identification labels to help you find yours.
