Are you having issues with your oven?

Are you having issues with your oven?

There are several issues that can arise with your oven!
For the following fixes, you will need the oven manual to see where in your oven the elements will be placed.

  • The first thing we should suggest, is ensuring your clock is set to the right time. It may seem like this would not cause any issues, I mean it is a clock after all, but it can in fact stop the whole oven working.
  • The next thing to check would be the thermostat, with the make and model of your oven you can find the correct oven thermostat for you on www.kitchenwareonline.shop
  • The thermal cut-out can cause the oven to turn off if it overheats, with the make and model of your oven you can find the correct oven thermostat for you on www.kitchnewareonline.shop to check the thermal cut-out (make sure the oven is turned off):
    • Begin by identifying where the electricity enters and exits
    • Use a multimeter, switch to a low resistance setting
    • Measure the connections, they should be the same resistance if the two-meter probes were touching
    • If the reading is different, the thermal cut-out has failed
  • Again, making sure the oven is turned off, the thermal block can become loose, so check the link and connector, there can also be charring which means that it needs replacing, you can find the correct oven terminal block for you on www.kitchenwareonline.shop
  • Lastly, the heating element we sell a range of heating elements on both our websites www.kitchenwareonline.com and www.kitchenwareonline.shop, if the following coincides with the symptoms of your oven you can almost guarantee that the heating element is faulty; oven clock is working and set to manual, light on the front remains on until it reaches required temperature, the oven fan is working as normal.
    • Similar to the above about checking the thermal cut-out, find the two connections
    • Multimeter on low resistance setting, measure the reading should typically be a resistance between 20 and 100 ohms
    • If there is no connection your oven element will need to be replaced
If none of these have fixed your oven we would suggest finding a local engineer.

Introducing kitchenwareonline.shop

Introducing kitchenwareonline.shop
As part of the Microwave Service Company, we have been operating the kitchenwareonline.com website to offer spare parts and accessories for a range of microwave ovens and other kitchen appliances for almost 10 years.
As part of ongoing mission to improve and grow we are always looking at ways to improve the website. You might appreciate that to list a product we have to get it in stock to photograph and then add all the specifications either from our distributor or from scratch.
When considering what to start adding next we were in close contact with one of our spares suppliers who suggested rather than extract the information from them and add it to our site why not just link to their site and let our customers use their information. This has many advantages:
  • We don’t need to laboriously add new information for each product
  • We no longer need to worry about keeping that information up to date, it is continuously updated by our supplier.
  • We don’t need to update pricing constantly. The prices are updated live by the supplier.
  • We don’t need to hold stock. The supplier will send directly to our customers.
This seems like the ideal solution for us just to maintain the association between customers and the parts they need to complete repairs. Our main job now is pro-actively find new customers who need spare parts at the right price and get the correct spares to them in good time.
Kitchenwareonline.com will remain our main website and we will continue to specialise in microwave and bread maker spares on there but will use kitchenwareonline.shop to help new and old customers to find the spares they need for other appliances both in the kitchen and throughout the home. In current times where everyone wants to save money, save time and save energy we will continue to get the Right part, Right price, Right now.

Clearing "filt" messages from Samsung commercial microwave oven displays.

Filter reset instructions for Samsung and Buffalo commercial microwave ovens.

When "Filt” shows in the display it does not indicate a fault. It is just a preprogrammed reminder to clean the air filter located underneath the oven door.
The filter should be removed and cleaned in warm soapy water or in a dishwasher, dried and then refitted.
The oven needs to be ‘told’ that the filter has been cleaned and the reminder reset using the following procedure.
Press and hold the programme lock button (the small circle below the P key) and pad number 3 together.
After 2-3 seconds the number of hours for the timed reminder is displayed.
Enter the number of hours you want before the next reminder.
Press and hold the program lock and pad number three together again until the oven bleeps once.
Press the cancel button to clear the hours message from the display.
