Low power microwave ovens for use in welfare vehicles and trucks

We have for some years been supplying many domestic and commercial customers various versions of our low power microwave ovens.

Modified to order in our workshop we can supply different power output models to suit the customers needs. Although a lower power output microwave takes longer to heat, it uses less power so can be run from a smaller power supply which will drain leisure or vehicle batteries a lot slower.

Our microwaves are the smallest models we can find in the market from a leading distributor, so we know that they are very capable.

We also sell a range of suitable inverters for both 24-volt and 12-volt applications, again from a reputable UK company

Customers have used various combinations of microwaves and inverters in welfare vehicles, trucks, camper vans to name but a few applications.

I’m looking for a low wattage microwave for my 2015 Mercedes Sprinter welfare van (ex-fleet, converted by Clarks).

The van currently has a Currys Essentials C17MW14 (700W output) which needs replacing, the handle is broken and there’s some rust.
The original converter had labelled it as 400W, and I believe they were running it on reduced power settings to stay within the van’s inverter capacity.

The inverter is a Waeco/Mobitronic MI-1000-012 UK (1000W continuous, 12V to 230V), so I need a microwave that draws under 1000W from the wall.
The existing microwave’s external dimensions are 439.5mm W x 257.6mm H x 355mm D, so ideally the replacement would be similar in size to fit the existing mounting space.

I noticed the Drivemate 500W microwave on your website appears to be out of stock.

Do you have an expected restock date for the 500W model?

Or recommend a microwave that would work safely with my 1000W inverter setup?

Happy to provide photos of the current setup if that helps.

thanks,
John
