Ratings and Reviews for  Panasonic SD-2501 Raisin nut dispenser

3 / 5
It appears to be of good quality but there is no indication that it is a genuine Panasonic part. It would have been very helpful to have had a simple fitting guide, particularly how to remove the lid inner plate to gain access to the dispenser. An “exploded” view of the parts would have saved me having to do the job twice as a special washer fell out on dismantling and I put back incorrectly the first time. The good news is that after correcting my mistake the dispenser works.

Hopefully Panasonic have improved durability. Cannot comprehend how we “broke” the original!

It seems odd that the little catch that holds the base in place is plastic and therefore easily broken.

Easy to fit. Has worked correctly so far. Then again, the original shouldn't have failed.

If you read the reviews everybody who replaces this item is because the plastic rocker which operates the trap door breaks, This is a Panasonic design fault the trouble is you have to replace the whole unit there's a company in the US which makes the rocker in metal for about the same price with postage.

This dispenser tends to break after a few months, even if not used. This is the fault of Panasonic and not Kitchenwareonline. It's a pity because the bread maker is otherwise excellent.

We think that the plastic clip suffers from heat damage being in the top of the machine and have passed this onto Panasonic. A customer mentioned that in USA the machines already have a metal catch instead of plastic so we are looking into this as a possible solution.

Genuine part but Panasonic could make this more durable. It's metal but the lug that opens the door is plastic;. it failed in my last breadmaler too!

Yet again I've needed to replace the nut and raisin dispenser. Although the breadmaker itself is excellent and I use it a lot, this is the third dispenser I've needed to buy for two different Panasonic machines (the current being an updated replacement for the first), so perhaps there is some inbuilt fault, as I do not use this facility very often.

Thank you for your feedback. We do report back to Panasonic (and they will be aware of the number of these they must be selling) but unfortunately although the shape has changed recently the basic design hasn't and has the same inherent faults. Sorry.

The problem with the item is its short working life. My last one failed within 18 months.

I agree and have passed your comments onto Panasonic, however the small parts for the dispenser are still not available to us as spare parts. If they become available we will add them to the site.
