Finding the model number of your appliance.
Why do I need the model number?
In order to successfully find, and order the spare part you need for your appliance you will need the model number.
Otherwise it's like saying that you want spares for your car and it's a Ford, the garage will ask you what model, what engine size, diesel or petrol, and when it was made......etc.
If you are having difficulty finding the model number of your appliance, we hope the following information will be of some help to you.

Microwave ovens
The model number for your microwave oven will usually be found on the back of the oven, or on the control panel next to the door. The model number will start with one or two letters, followed by three or four numbers, followed by three or four more letters. In some cases there will be letters mixed in with the numbers.

Amana and Menumaster commercial microwave ovens
Amana and Menumaster commercial (catering) microwave ovens have model numbers starting with three or four letters, followed by three numbers, and in some cases a suffix such as T2. The model number is usually found on the rear panel of the oven.

As well as the model number, you will also need the manufacturing number (MFG number) which consists of the letter P followed by seven numbers and the letter M. 
This number is important as it is a batch number, and parts are often not interchangeable between different manufacturing batches.

Daewoo microwave ovens
The model number for your Daewoo microwave oven will usually be found on the back of the oven, or on the control panel next to the door. The model number will start with three letters such as KOC or KOG, followed by three numbers and some letters, with some suffix letters following.
For example: KOG390A, KOR63D70S. 
With Daewoo microwave ovens the whole of the model number is important.

Neff, Bosch and Siemens microwave ovens
The model number for your Neff, Bosch or Siemens microwave oven will usually be found on the control panel next to the door. 
With these makes of microwave oven the whole model number is important.

Panasonic microwave ovens
The model number for your Panasonic microwave oven will usually be found on the back of the oven, or on the control panel next to the door. The model number will start with NE or NN followed by a hyphen and a letter with three of four numbers, followed by three or four more letters.
For example NN-A715MBPQ. 
With Panasonic microwaves it's the NN-A715 that is important, the last three letters tell us the colour of the microwave and whether it's a UK or European model.
Commercial Panasonic microwave oven model numbers start with the letters NE, and domestic ovens with the letters NN

Samsung microwave ovens
The model number for your microwave oven will usually be found on the back of the oven, or on the control panel next to the door.
The model number will start with one, two or three letters, then three or four numbers. For example MX345.
Commercial Samsung microwave oven model numbers start with the letters CM.
 
With Samsung microwaves the whole model number is important.

Sharp microwave ovens
The model number for your Sharp microwave oven will usually be found on the back of the oven, or on the control panel next to the door. 
The model number will start with the letter R, followed by two, three or four numbers, ending with a series of letters.
For example R34STM. 
With Sharp microwaves the first letter and the numbers are important, the last three letters just tell us the colour of the oven cabinet, door and control fascia.

Panasonic Vacuum cleaners
The model number for your Panasonic vacuum cleaner will usually be found on the back of upright models, or underneath a cylinder model. The model number will start with MC-E or MC-UL followed by three of four numbers.
Any letters after this are not relevant.
For example MC-E4003. 

Panasonic bread maker ovens
The model number for your bread maker oven will be found on a label on the back or base of the oven.
The model number will start with SD followed by three or four numbers. 
For example SD206.
